Warehouse Operative

About the role

Northgate Logistics runs the main distribution centre for a national homeware retailer. We’re looking for 25 warehouse operatives to join the day shift ahead of the winter peak, picking and packing customer orders with handheld scanners.

What you’ll do

• Pick and pack customer orders accurately using a handheld scanner
• Load and unload deliveries and move stock with pallet trucks
• Keep your aisle clean, safe and clear of obstructions
• Hit pick-rate targets after a two-week settling-in period
• Report damaged stock and safety concerns to your team leader

What you’ll need

• The right to work in the UK
• Able to stand and lift parcels of up to 15 kg through the shift
• Warehouse experience is welcome but not required — full training is provided
• A reliable way to get to work: the site is on the number 12 bus route with free parking

Where you’ll work

This role is handled by our Leeds branch and sits in our Logistics & Warehousing team. Chloe will talk you through the site, the shifts and what to expect on day one before you start.
